The Observatory activities:
- To upload online the existing projects, allowing the exchange of the organisational models and of the technological solutions which have proven the most effective and have promoted social-health integration;
- To put into action best practises for the development, the deployment and the use of innovative e-Care applications in clinical practice;
- To help formulate economical models of social and health expenditure classification, in particular through de-hospitalisation, domiciliary social and health care assistance and limitation in use of sheltered accomodation for frail elderly;
- To provide a place for confrontation between supply and demand for innovative solutions, to achieve economies of scale, not wasting money on experiences which have proven ineffective from an economical point of view and in similar organisational contexts;
- To develop the community of e-Care experience through a participatory platform and a network of techno-social networks based on the productive cooperation of practises and technologies.
The Network of Networks
The portal characterizes itself as the Network of Networks: a collaborative site, open to leading partners of the e-Care networks, and self-nourished by the Wiki technology in full compliance with the Web 2.0 culture.
A web system for the participation, collaboration with, consultation with, sharing and evaluation of the e-Care experiences;
A space for interacting and communicating through peer production and social networking tools;
A site in which to share standard evaluation and best practices for projects online.
After registering, every user will be able to upload one or more projects by filling a specific Form for the research of e-Care networks on national and international territories. The experiences will be monitored and made available to the whole Network. The infrastructure necessary to manage the software will be made available in open-source modality, in order for some tools, which have already been tested for the e-Care project management, to be available to every interested party or public body.
