Together with the diffusion of Internet use, e-Care networks for home assistance are one step of a fast but essential growth of the e-Health world. Thanks to the cooperation of various experiences, the National Observatory can define a set of indicators (technological, organizational, economical and clinical) necessary for a compared evaluation of networks and projects and for the definition of shared best practises. The construction of an Internet networking map improves the accessibility and the effectiveness of the online services for citizens. For the first time, Internet networks for health and social care (e-Care) are surveyed, classified and “interpreted” through the creation of a collaborative technological platform in order to create a semantic view of all e-Health networks.
